The intermediate Academic Camp is for students entering grades 2-4 at all levels of achievement who would benefit from intensive, individualized coursework that focuses on acquiring specific academic skills, prepare for future challenging work, or remediate a deficiency.
Small class size will foster a close relationship between pupil and teacher.
Classes integrate reading, writing, and mathematics.
Intermediate Reading and Writing: Improve comprehension, vocabulary, grammar and written expression. Classes meet one hour per day combined with one hour of Mathematics for a two-hour program.
Intermediate Mathematics: Drill in fundamentals processes in relation to whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and word problems, Classes meet for one hour per day combined with one hour of reading and writing for a two-hour program.
Please note that the Academic Challenge camp cannot be combined with the Enrichment Camp, both run 8:30-10:30 am.
