Important Information and Procedures for Families

We are thrilled to have you join us for the Morgan Park Academy Summer Camp ’23!  Please review the information below pertaining to camp. If your child is enrolled in World Travelers Camp, please anticipate a separate email detailing camp logistics.
Emergency Contact, Medication & Allergies Form
Please ensure that all medication, allergies, and emergency contact are updated in Ultracamp. If your child has an inhaler, please make sure to put it into a bag with their name on it. We do not administer oral medications of any kind, including headache medication and Benadryl.
Supply List
Please see the following link for PreK, Kindergarten, and First Grade supply lists.
Lunch/Water Bottles
ALL campers must bring a lunch from home each day. In addition to lunch, please ensure your child has a reusable water bottle. Kindergarteners and First Graders should also bring a healthy snack. Campers will have lunch in the outdoor pavilion or in the dining hall during inclement weather.
COVID Procedures
Please do not send your child to camp if they are ill. Please email if your child will be absent. Children with symptoms will be sent home immediately. Masks are optional.
First-Day Arrival Information
All students need to be accompanied by a parent to camp on the first day of each session. Teachers for all classes will be in Jones Bowl (the grassy area in the middle of campus) for each block.
On the first day of each session, campers in grades 2-8 will receive a lanyard with their class schedule, room location, and other important information. Be sure to have your child wear that lanyard every day.
For PreK-3 students, please pull into the parking lot off 112th street and drop off your child at the tan house on the south end of the lot. PreK-4 students will be dropped off at the blue house on the north end of the parking lot. Drop off for PreK-4 enters off 111th street.
Second-Day and On-Arrival Information
Campers may be dropped off no earlier than 8:20, or they must go to before care. At 8:30, students are to go directly to their class. A counselor or teacher will be at the door. We will have counselors in Jones Bowl to direct students to the correct entrance based on their class.

If you are running late, please stop at the main office in Hansen Hall to get signed in for the day. Once checked in, you are able to head to your class; there will be counselors available to help you locate your class.

Dismissal at 3:00 pm

All students are dismissed at 3:00 pm. PreK students will be dismissed from the PreK houses. Kindergarten – 8th grade will be dismissed outside Jones Bowl or under the pavilion if it rains. If a child is not picked up by 3:10 pm, they will be placed in our ABC aftercare program. If your child is allowed to walk home independently, we will need a letter in writing granting your permission.

Midday Dismissal
Students that are done for the day before 3:00pm will need to be picked up within 10 minutes after their class ends. PreK students will be dismissed from the PreK Houses. All other grades will be dismissed in Jones Bowl near the flagpole.  If your student is not picked up, they will be assigned to a class, and you will be charged accordingly.

ABC Morning Drop-Off and Afternoon Pick-Up

Before care runs from 7:30 am-8:30 am. Aftercare runs from 3:00 pm-6:00 pm. Our before-care program will be in the ABC room of Alumni Hall (end of the driveway with the brown awning by the pavilion), and aftercare will be in the Dining Hall of Alumni Hall.
